         Ang Pipit is a Filipino cry of hope, redemption, and independence comparable to a Pipit, a little passerine bird. This song depicts the tragic reality of Filipinos who are still imprisoned in their own country. Levi Celerio provided a well-crafted song filled with imagery and symbolism that no one can match. Simple lines, simple notes, yet a strange influence on the listener. It is considered a classic in the Contemporary Music scene and serves as a reminder of the work that must be done to free the nation from the bonds of enslavement to others.
